S/Y WINDROSE

Innovation in Luxury Sailing

S/Y Windrose of Amsterdam, designed by Dykstra and built by Holland Jachtbouw, is a record-breaking sailing yacht, reaching speeds of 27 knots. Beyond performance, it redefines luxury sailing with innovation.

At its core, the Phoenix One battery system with Silent Power Technology ensures smooth, quiet operation while reducing emissions. Its high-voltage lithium battery system cuts fuel consumption by 25% and lowers maintenance costs.

Currently sailing the Pacific, Windrose showcases the future of sustainable, high-tech luxury yachting, setting a new benchmark for exploration and adventure.

S/Y ACAIA

Transforming Energy Storage
Phoenix One revolutionized S/Y Acaia’s power system by replacing its 1500kg battery pack with a lightweight 560kg Lithium Energy Storage (LES) unit, quadrupling capacity to 80kWh while significantly reducing weight.

Post-refit, Acaia now operates on LES for over 75% of its runtime, with up to 22 hours of generator-free sailing. Equipped with 12kW chargers and 24kW inverters, it ensures efficient recharging via onboard generators or shore power.

A custom monitoring system enhances safety, providing real-time insights and intuitive controls for seamless navigation. This upgrade sets a new benchmark for sustainable, high-performance yachting.

S/Y GALAXIE

A Sustainable Transformation

Originally built in 1979, S/Y Galaxie is now leading the way in eco-friendly sailing. Commissioned by TrueWorld Organisation, Phoenix One replaced its 800kg diesel engine with a lightweight 50kg Emrax 268 electric motor and two LFP battery banks, enabling zero-emission, silent cruising.

This retrofit not only revives Galaxie but also sets a new standard for sustainable yachting. Thanks to Phoenix One’s innovation, the vessel now sails as a beacon of eco-conscious navigation, proving that adventure and sustainability can thrive together at sea.

What Our Clients Say

“Lucas and his team did a very professional job in replacing my AGM service batteries with new LFP batteries. They went the extra mile to make sure that the integration of the new batteries will work seamlessly with the existing systems on board. And last but not least they documented their installation by providing updated wiring schematics.”

-Klaus

“I really like being able to have full remote control from anywhere in the ship. Manoeuvres are faster, safer and easier with this type of control. No more running back and forth from the engine room while in the middle of a manoeuvre, and I have full control from a single screen. We can run air conditioning throughout the night on a single battery load with no generators needed. The reduction in generator working hours is amazing thanks to the battery pack, and fuel consumption has decreased dramatically since the system was installed.”

– Javier, Windrose of Amsterdam’s Captain

What are your words of wisdom to any captain or owner who is thinking of making the step toward battery power and is concerned about using Lithium?

I could not advise one way or the other for other captains or owners, every yacht has different demands, safety parameters, and structural limitations. What I will say is that this installation was not achieved using any form of template. Our vessel is classed with one of the top classification societies and Phoenix One was in close contact with them to create the unique parameters required by the classification society and effectively create

a new template for vessels of the same structure and class to use when considering this installation. Ultimately, Phoenix One was successful in achieving confirmation from the organisation that this was an installation that met the most stringent safety standards, making a pivotal step forward into the future of Lithium setups on yachts. This user-friendly, efficient, and modern ecosystem has completely changed our vessel for the better, I would not hesitate to recommend the same for others where appropriate, especially with Phoenix One at the helm.
